23-24 Distinguished Club Award
23-24 Kiwanian of the Year
Each year the outgoing President gets to select one member who stood out from the rest. As Keith Smith stated last night at our banquet, each year, it gets more and more difficult as many members show up for meetings, fundraisers, events, projects, serve our SLP’s and never say no when asked to help.
This year, Evelyn Novak was selected as the Sheraden Club’s Kiwanian of the Year. She was presented a plaque commemorating her service this year and was truly surprised! Many long time Sheraden residents remember Evelyn as the smiling face that greeted us at the former Sheraden Bank as we made deposits, applied for car loans & mortgages, or stopped in to get some cash (before ATM’s). In 2022, Evelyn joined our club and has been a super member through her participation in our club’s activities, sometimes being the only member who can attend a community event. She will tie a kid’s shoelaces , pick up a bale of hay, play games with seniors on a Monte Carlo night, pack Blessings in a Backpack bags for kids, donate an an auction basket item, work tirelessly at the pancake breakfasts and Pasta dinners, sell many tickets to our fundraisers, show up for almost every club meeting and always with a smile on her face. Congratulations Evelyn on a well-deserved recognition!
